Trainer
Laura Nelson is a leader with passion for developing individual’s talents so that they might render greater service to others. Her favorite part about working with TRI Leadership Resources is taking part in giving young adults all across the nation the skills it takes to turn a dream into reality. Her leadership experience comes from service first within her home, and then spreading throughout her campus, community, and nation.
Laura has also served on the Special Olympics Utah Team heading up the transportation committee and insuring all athletes travel to and from their events. Her campus involvement has been focused particularly in helping incoming freshman make the transition into college. She has does this by serving as a peer councilor in her Freshman Academy as well as a Y-group leader during Freshman Orientation week.
Outside of home and school Laura has had the opportunity to travel and interact with many great leaders across the U.S. At the age of 16 she spent a summer living and working in the great city of Boston, Massachusetts, and from then on she has spent every summer living and working with new and fascinating people. Her summer spent at camp in the Leadership Training Cabin has definitely been her favorite. On one of the many majestic lakes in Minnesota Laura worked with over 30 teenaged girls in coaching them through a very strenuous but rewarding leadership program.
