It was a golden leadership experience in the Golden State at the 8th annual Western Region Officer Training Camp (WROTC)! San Diego State University was the place to catch DECA at work and play building to be the best for 2009-10!

DECA WROTC featured two leadership tracks designed especially for state/provincial and local officers. Leaders worked in teams to brainstorm, share ideas, and compete for top honors. Everyone enjoyed the fun, sun, and excitement of San Diego while training and growing their network. Participants explored the sights and sounds of historic San Diego and cutting edge enterprises!

Learn by doing! Lead with experience! The Local Chapter Officer Track is designed to super charge local chapters by providing talented chapter leaders with the skills, plans, knowledge, experience, and resources to lead their chapter to the best DECA year yet! Chapter Officers simultaneously learned proven management and marketing methodologies and then appled them to live chapter scenarios. The driving purpose behind this approach is for Chapter Officers to simulate their year of service so that when they get home and actually have to perform—they are ready to lead with confidence, commitment, courage, and charisma! Highlights of this training track included:
